It was strange to see these monkeys of the night up close. Even though they were no longer alive, each one peered out of the case at me with wide-open eyes. Their wings were almost as thin as a butterflies' wings, while their bodies are thick like a rat. They resembled flying dinosaurs much more than modern birds.
